The next International Conference on Computational Thinking Education will be held from 14 to 16 June 2018 at The Education University of Hong Kong.
The major aims of CTE2018 are to:
- Gain insights from internationally renowned scholars and professionals on how to implement coding education and promote computational thinking development in the early learning stage of students
- Exchange ideas on the latest technological developments that could help to facilitate students’ computational thinking skills through coding
- Disseminate findings and outcomes on the implementation of computational thinking development in the network schools
- Showcase students’ products as a result of learning coding to the general public

The first International Conference on Computational Thinking Education was held from 13 to 15 July 2017 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Recognised scholars and educators in the field delivered keynote speeches while academics from 13 overseas countries and regions gave presentations on the research outcomes of computational thinking education in their jurisdictions. Local primary school teachers and students also hosted exhibition booths and demonstration sessions to showcase innovative solutions in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and coding education.
